Ca'u u Rabaja Langhe Arneis

Ca'u u Rabaja Langhe Arneis 2010

The nose is very pleasantly aromatic, with typical floral, fennel, orange blossom, yellow plum, pear, orchard fruit, mango and papaya notes. The palate is bright and fresh, with tart and juicy acid, medium body and moderate roundness. Long finish. Very pleasant, very pure and more mineral expression than the average. The freshness make it a delicious alternative to sauvignon blanc, viognier or grüner.

Arneis - (literally: little rascal, in Piedmontese) - For centuries Arneis grape was used to soften the tannins and harshness of Nebbiolo. Hence the common synonym of Barolo Bianco or "white Barolo" A difficult variety to grow. It is a crisp and floral varietal, and has been grown for centuries in the region. The white wines made from the Arneis rapetend to be dryand full bodywith notes of pearsand apricots.
