Tenutae Lageder Lowengang Chardonnay

Tenutae Lageder Lowengang Chardonnay 2008

For the creation of extraordinary wines, one also needs something more than healthy, fully-ripened grapes from the best vineyard sites. There is also a need for the right philosophy and for true human commitment. We see it as our task to create ideal synergies, supporting nature's work, thereby taking on the role of "midwives" who facilitate the birth of wines of great elegance, clarity, body, strength, and authenticity.

"Medium-deep, golden-tinged yellow. Pure, deep aromas of pineapple, banana, minerals and iodine are complemented by sweet spices and a hint of buttery caramel oak. Superrich, highly concentrated and seamless on the palate, with densely packed flavors of banana cream pie, fresh herbs and vanilla. Finishes rich, round and impressively glyceral, with nutty nuances and an unobtrusive vanilla return. The vines range from 25 to 65 years old, and the wine ferments and ages (11 months) in 50% new French oak."
