The Humbrecht family has been making wine in the Alsace region since 1620. Since 1939 they have tended to 40 hectares making some of the most robust wines in Alsace. They are committed to biodynamic in the vineyard and hands off winemaking in the winery. Their wines are full bodied and usually have small amounts of residual sugar.
"Light straw color. An amazing nose greets us. It's intense, feral, sensual, flinty, earthy, and floral with truffles at the core. Follows through beautifully on the palate with uplifting acidity front and center. There's a rich texture with flavors that recall ripe nectarines, white peaches, and white pepper. Youthful and consistent from start to the long finish, which is sweet and compelling. This is one of the greatest young Gewurztraminers we've ever tasted!"
