Rhône
Divided into two distinct regions. The North is famous for its blends of Syrah and the white grape Viognier, whereas the South region makes wines that are Grenache dominated. With some of the steepest vineyards in the world hand harvesting is a necessity.
Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the most popular area of the Rhone Valley, located in the south, a blend of predominantly Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. These wines are distinguished by the papal coat of arms embossed on the neck of the bottle. They are tannic, robust and ageworthy wines.
