Portugal

portugal_header

With numerous native varieties producing an abundance of styles, this is a wine region that has yet to become a huge international player. Although they have been producing wines for 100’s of years it is the fortified wine Port that has made Portugal famous. The red wines are fruit forward and complex, ranging from light to rich, heavy and robust, while the whites show minerality and sometimes an oxidized characteristic that is often welcomed. Definitely worth a taste.
