United States
Wine is produced in every state in America (even Alaska where the grapes are flown in) yet there are only a handful of areas that produce wines that make it to the International market. The United States (and California in itself) is the 4th largest producer in the world. Having a stunted history due to 13 years of prohibition, the United States is still relatively new in the wine world, yet continues to expand its presence and influence with consumers and critics around the globe.
