Hefeweizen
A southern German style of wheat beer (weissbier) made with a typical ratio of 50:50 wheat and malt. Use of a special yeast known to produce spicy notes of clove, banana, and bubblegum makes this beer very memorable. The palate is very carbonated and finishes quite dry leaving you wanting another sip – a little hop bitterness and a moderate level of alcohol makes it a perfect patio beer. The “Hefe” prefix means “with yeast” which gives the beer an unfiltered and cloudy appearance.
