Masottina was founded in 1946 in Conegliano, Veneto. It is an established family estate that crafts elegant and polished wines from both local and international varietals.

Tasting Notes

Masottina’s Dorsoduro Pinot Grigio Ai Palazzi is made from Pinot Grigio grapes growing on flat, alluvial, clay soil.  Aromas of stone fruit, yellow peach, white flowers.  The wine is fresh and dry with a clean mineral finish.

Pinot Grigio grapes grown on alluvial soil, clay with some chalk.  Harvest happens in August/September, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the must in contact with the skins for about 12 hours at low temperatures before a gentle pressing.  The wine then rests partly in tank and partly in neutral barrel for 6 months before bottling.
