Method
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC is a regional appellation for Montepulciano rosato wines. The winegrowing area covers all of Abruzzo’s deginated winegrowing area. The wines are known for being a savory and fairly complex style of rose, deep cherry in colour with some tannic grip and bracing acidity. This one is made entirely from Montepulciano grapes grown at an elevation of 15 to 350 meters above sea level in medium sandy clay soils. The grapes are cold macerated to extract colour.
