From beautiful Montague, PEI – Bogside Brewing was named Atlantic Canada’s brewery of the year, as well as new brewery of the year in the 2019. Head brewer, Mark Patriquin started his brewing game in Tatamagouche and has since gained some serious chops brewing on the West Coast. Bogside focuses on well made German styles, Belgian farmhouse, and American ales.
Be sure to check out the brewery in Montague, a brand new industrial ranch-style brewery with great food, and a large outdoor patio.
Tasting Notes
Enjoy the pop of a west coast classic – with bold notes of stone fruit, citrus and a wee bit of pine resin on the nose. The palate drinks with ample grapefruit and herbal notes that carry through to a silky smooth mouthfeel and a dry, bitter finish.

Method
This West Coast style IPA uses a hop mix of Chinook, Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. The hop blend is very characteristic of this style, featuring a lot of the “C” hops that are known for their intense aromas and flavours of pine resin, grapefruit, citrus peels, and herbaceousness. Brewed to intentionally be bitter and full of flavour.
