Bruno Colin produces wine from some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world, the Cote de Beaune, Burgundy.  Bruno Colin studied at the Lycee Viticole de Beaune and began his winemaking career in 1993 by working at his family domaine, Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger.  In 2003 the estate became three separate entities, one of which is now Domaine Bruno Colin, 2004 marked his first vintage.

Tasting Notes

The wine is brilliant yellow with light green notes.  The nose is fresh and intense with ripe pear and white peach.  The palate is round with an electric minerality and energy carrying on to the finish.  An incredibly expressive and seductive wine from the Bourgogne Blanc appellation.

Colin’s philosophy is simple; to craft pure wines that express terroir from the 22 appellations, eight of which are premier cru blancs in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet.   His takes a lutte raisonnée approach to viticulture.  He understands and embraces that fact that each vintage is a unique expression of that time.

The Bourgogne Blanc is 100% Chardonnay from clay limestone soils.  The grapes are hand harvested in multiple passes and after fermentation the wine ages for 10 months in oak barrels (10-20% new).
