Bruno Colin produces wine from some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world, the Cote de Beaune, Burgundy.  Bruno Colin studied at the Lycee Viticole de Beaune and began his winemaking career in 1993 by working at his family domaine, Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger.  In 2003 the estate became three separate entities, one of which is now Domaine Bruno Colin, 2004 marked his first vintage.  

Tasting Notes

The nose is pronounced with dark fruit and spice than carry onto the palate.  Concentrated with a broad mouth filling texture and velvety tannins.  


Colin’s philosophy is simple; to craft pure wines that express terroir from the 22 appellations, eight of which are premier cru blancs in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet.   His takes a lutte raisonnée approach to viticulture.  He understands and embraces that fact that each vintage is a unique expression of that time.  

Santenay is a commune lying in the southern part of the Cote de Beaune.  The Pinot Noir grapes for this wine come from the 1er Cru Gravieres growing on limestone clay and gravel (hence the appellation’s name) planted in 1988.  The grapes are hand harvested and fermented for fifteen days with minimal intervention in the winemaking process.  The wine ages for 12 months in oak barriques, 25% new and rests for 3 to 6 months in tank before bottling.
