Jean Garnier purchased 6 hectares of vineyard in Fronsac in 1950.  In 1979, Jean put an end to his viticulture venture  though thankfully in 1998, his grandson, Jean-Yves Millaire, took revived the family estate.  Today, he and his wife farm 17 hectares in three different Bordeaux appellations, Fronsac AOC, Canon de Fronsac AOC and Bordeaux AOC.

Tasting Notes

Expressive nose with notes of red and black fruit, toast, mocha and caramel.  The palate is smooth and silky with concentrated fruit, sweet and spicy oak notes, velvety tannins and a long flavourful finish.

100% Merlot grown on sandy clay soil.  The wine spends 18 months in barrique.
