Diochon Moulin-A-Vent (750ml)
Moulin-a-Vent is one of the most famous and longest lived of the Crus Beaujolais. Domaine Diochon has been making Beaujolais in the traditional manner since 1935; whole-cluster fermentation, ageing in large oak foudres and bottling unfiltered in Springtime. Diochon’s house style is one that is juicy with ripe fruit, structure and richness.
Aromas of dark fruit, cassis and herbs. Similar fruit and herbal flavours as well as a mineral quality comes through. Juicy acidity, and layers of flavour continue on a long finish. The wine is medium bodied, rich and satisfying. The wine’s weight, fruit and acid levels make it an easy partner to many types of food; try it with a charcuterie plate, duck or ham.
