Domaine Jean Chartron Meursault Les Pierres (750ml)

Le Domaine Jean Chartron was founded in 1859 by Jean-Edouard Dupard and has been handed down over five generations. Today the Chartron family still craft wines that are elegant expressions of this premium appellation.
Meursault is the appellation for Chardonnay lovers (and one sip would easily convert a non Chardonnay drinker to become one). Meursault Les Pierres comes from the Puligny side above Limousin. This is a crisp and mineral-driven wine. Fresh citrus and peach notes on the nose along with light brioche notes that are echoed on the palate. Balanced acidity, minerality and weight . A wine of exceptional personality and balance.
Jean-Michel Chartron has really been ratcheting up his historic, Puligny-based domaine in recent vintages and I feel that there the reputation of this domaine is yet to catch up with quality you will find. Take just one look at the portfolio and you will see that Jean-Michel presides over some enviable parcels….
