Domaine de Grand Pré makes polished and elegant Nova Scotian wines. The Domaine is known for its crisp and clean flavour profile and they pride themselves in using only 100 per cent Nova Scotian grown grapes. They grow specialty grapes that were developed for the Nova Scotian climate and landscape and the resulting wines wine awards year after year.
Tasting Notes
A distinguished wine with a delicate mousse complemented by soft aromas of apple blossom, brioche, and mineral. The wine develops with flavours of juicy red apple, fresh tree fruit, and a lingering citrus finish. Enjoy chilled and accompanied with seafood, grilled chicken, pork, summer salads, or your favourite soft cheeses.
Method
This estate-grown Traditional Method sparkling Riesling was aged en tirage for 12 months and was hand-disgorged.
While Riesling is one of the most well known and widely planted varieties in the world, it is uncommon in traditional method sparkling wine. Yet Riesling’s naturally high acidity lends structure, freshness, and brightness that makes this grape a great choice for sparkling wine. The Extra Dry style is perfectly suited for making very balanced and harmonious Traditional Method sparkling wine from this grape. This Traditional Method Riesling also represents the first vinifera sparkling wine from Domaine de Grand Pré.
