Je ne souffre plus (750ml)
Domaine la Florane is a father and son team of biodynamic wine producers crafting wines in the southern Rhône Valley in the appellations of Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Visan and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Saint-Maurice. In addition to cultivating wine grapes and producing wine, they grow olive trees and lavender.
Domaine Florane owns 24 hectares of vineyards in Visan. Altitude ranges from 280 to 380 metres. The sites are in a south-facing valley – called a “coste chaude” (sunny hillside). The Mediterranean Sea once covered the Rhône Valley, and met with rivers that flowed down the young mountains of La Lance and Ventoux, conveying large amounts of sand and clay which were captured by the coastal currents.
Deeply pigmented with an explosion of red and black berry fruits on the nose and palate. It’s super fresh and wonderfully concentrated, like biting into a bunch of freshly picked ripe grapes.
A blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah grown at 400 meters altitude in rocky soil. The grapes are destemmed, undergo short a short maceration at low temperature and then rest on the lees in concrete vats for five months.
