Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia currently represents the main wine-producing facility in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of north eastern Italy. There are over 450 grape growers with 2.000 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the region over the Friulian plains, from Casarsa della Delizia to Aquileia, within the well-known “Friuli Grave” and “Prosecco” DOC areas. Yes, Prosecco can be produced in Friuli! It is an interregional appellation shared with the more famous Prosecco producing region of Veneto. These areas are rich in history and have a strong wine-growing tradition that allows producing wines with a strong identity and character.
Tasting Notes
Fresh and well-balanced with notes of apple and peach. A medium-bodied bubbly with medium acidity, a soft creamy mousse, with citrus and stone fruit flavours. It shows great balance making it easy to enjoy on its own as an aperitif, with spicy snacks or light seafood dishes.
Method
Made from Glera grapes with a second fermentation happening via tank method. This is a Brut style. It is dry but not drying.
