In 1988, at just 30 years old, François takes over the 4 hectares  family vineyard in Nuits Saint Georges and its surroundings, replacing his father. Concerned to guarantee the future of the estate, he decided to commercialize wines in bottles, invest in new plots and to rent out the vines.  François’ vineyard extends today to 6.7 hectares between Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown.   In 2008, he’s joined by Charlotte, his elder, who is dedicated to viticulture. It will then be Laure, in 2017, responsible for business development of the estate.   Nowadays, the estate of Nuits Saint Georges is still family-owned, and never ceases to promote modernity, authenticity, and expertise.  Grown sustainably, and carefully harvested by hand, the vines produce great wines, that are renowned and appreciated by experts and amateurs of Burgundy.

Tasting Notes

This premier cru Burgundy is layered and complex with notes of citrus, white flowers and honey on the nose.  The palate is at once round, creamy and fresh.  Ripe concentrated fruit, honey, blossom and hazelnut and mineral notes carry through onto a long satisfying finish.  Enjoy this with salmon carpaccio, white fish, seafood pasta and white meat.  Also delicious with paired with triple cream Brie.

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the “Murgers des Dents de Chien” 1er Cru vineyard in the Saint Aubin appellation of the Cote de Beaune; this vineyard is characterized by its very rocky and chalky soil.  The vines are on average 35 years old and the grapes are hand harvested.  25% of the wine ages in new barrels.

Wow. Just wow. This has all the complexity and tipicity of a Montrachet … without the price. Absolutely beautiful from an impactful nose to long finish. A lush experience with layers of flavour. Be mindful of serving temperature to discover all that it offers. Probably a five star after two glasses. A must experience !! Nicely done BC.
