Letargo Rioja Tempranillo (750ml)
In 1886 a young couple decided to plant a small vineyard in the foothills of Mount Yerga, Baja Rioja. Little did they know the importance this decision would have for the following generations. Seven generations later, that simple vineyard has grown to 100 hectares and is Bodegas d. Mateos. The winery has a variety of grapes planted on the estate of various ages and an extensive barrel cellar of predominantly French and some American oak for their ageing program. They produce a a few ranges of wines, from varietal focused and easy drinking to classic terroir expressive styles.
Lifted dark berry fruit, licorice and balsamic notes. The palate is fleshy with ripe plum and blackberry flavours and a hint of anise on the finish.
Grapes are de-stemmed and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 30 days before.
