Domaine Beatrice et Pascal Lambert is an organic and biodynamic estate in Chinon. They use no chemicals in the vineyards and in their winemaking and as a result are able to highlight the typicity of the terroir as it is expressed through their grapes.

Tasting Notes

A blend of 50% Chenin Blanc and 50% Pinot Gris.  Planted on clay limestone soil.  The grapes are hand harvested and de-stemmed and macerate and ferment in dolium (clay amphora) for 3 months and then aged in amphora for 6 months.  The wine is lightly filtered before bottling.  Aromas of very ripe fruit, see chard, green plums, raisins. Great power on the palate, combining a lot of substance and roundness. The tannins due to the maceration of the grapes accentuate the power on the palate and add texture and structure. Dried fruit finish.
