Lightfoot & Wolfville Blanc de Blanc Brut Nature (750ml)
This family-owned winery in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley is dedicated to certified organic and biodynamic agriculture alongside Old World winemaking techniques.
This is a special wine for Lightfoot & Wolfville family as it is the first release from their inaugural vintage, representing the beginning of their winegrowing journey.
Pale gold with very fine bubbles in the glass. McIntosh apple, salty ocean air and hints of toasted brioche on the nose. Pure, precise and well structured by a backbone of classic Nova Scotian acidity. The delicate mousse adds finesse and leads the way to a persistent finish with impressive length. The structure and profile of this wine suggest it could be cellared for 10+ years, only gaining in complexity and depth over time.
“Pristine and racy. This could live a very long time.” (93 pts) – David Lawrason for WineAlign July 2018
Fresh sourdough notes on the nose with green apple and a seaspray like quality. Tiny persistent bubbles dance across the palate. This top shelf sparkler exudes purity and brightness; what one has come to expect from our Nova Scotian terroir.
