Merlot and Cabernet Franc from a 2 h parcel of limestone clay soil. Hand harvested and maceration of 2-3 days with pressing part way throughh fermentation. Fermentation completed without the skins in wooden barrels and bottled early, in November to conserve some natural CO2 from fementation and to preserve the freshness of the fruit and wild yeasty notes.

In 1998 Jean Garnier’s grandson Jean-Yves Millaire, took over the family estate in Fronsac. Today, he and his wife farm 17 hectares of biodynamic vineyards in three different Bordeaux appellations, Fronsac AOC, Canon de Fronsac AOC and Bordeaux AOC.
In old French, “loupiot” means “little wolf” is was a term used to refer to children. This wine is the child of the domaine, it is the youngest, most recent wine to be produced here. It is a youthful style that focuses on freshness and intended for immediate enjoyment. This wine is made without added sulphites.
Pale purple in the glass, notes of yoghurt, blackberry, black cherry and spice. The palate is round and fresh, almost pulpy in texture with blackberry fruit and a touch of cinnamon.
