Tasting Notes
This is an unoaked and mineral driven style; light and fruity, a pure expression of the grape.
Method
The 2020 Chardonnay is a great example of the stellar growing conditions of the vintage. Warm and sunny, with favorable weather all season, it was a wonderful vintage. Fruit was sourced entirely from Luckett’s Avonport Vineyard. After 4 years in the ground, this was the first harvest from these grapes. Gently pressed and fermented long and slow at very low temperatures. 100% stainless steel fermentation expresses minerality, freshness, and an apple and pear forward character. No malolactic fermentation. Just 430 cases produced.
