Maestracci Corse Calvi Blanc (750ml)
On the French island of Corsica, high in the foothills of Monte Grossu mountain, inland from Calvi, lies the granite plateau of Reginu. Here the days are hot and dry and thanks to the high altitude, the nights are cool, located just a short distance from the sea, maritime winds also moderate and benefit the vines. The plateau has been continuously used for vine and olive growing for centuries.
The Calvi blanc is made from Vermentinu (Vermentino) growing on sand, clay and granite. The grapes are hand picked and the must undergoes one day cold soak before pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel. Citrus, white fruit and floral aromas. At once, fresh and mouthfilling with typical varietal and terroir character of grapefruit, acacia flowers, grilled almonds and minerality.
