François-Xavier Nicholas is an artisan negociant in the Rhone area of France.  He works primarily with growers in the Rhone, Provence and Languedoc regions.   He recognizes that quality ingredients are the foundation of good wines hence his close relationships with growers and is hands on approach in the cellar.  He works closely with with vignerons and winemakers to ensure that wines under his label are crafted with the best fruit and in the style that best expressed their primary ingredients and the land. 

Tasting Notes

Pale pink in the glass with silvery reflections.  Delicate nose of crushed strawberries, currants and pink grapefruit.  The palate is fruity with light refreshing acidity and a crisp dry finish.  Pair this easy drinking rose with grilled vegetables, prawns, vegetable tarts and salads.  


A blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Cinsault and 10% Merlot.  The vines are on average 20 years old and the yields are about 60hl/ha.  The rosé is made by direct pressing.  Fermentation lasts 10 days at a controlled temperature of maximum 24°c and aged for 3 months in vats on the lees.
