Tasting Notes

Rich aromas of amber malts – nutty, toffee, toasted bread notes that mingle with German style hops that provide subtle herbal, and spicy notes. The palate is smooth, with deep malty flavours that are balanced with just the right amount of hop bitterness at 25 IBU. Finish is dry with moderate carbonation.

Altbier is an German amber ale that’s been lagered to create to a more crisp and smooth mouthfeel. The cousin to the German Kolsch style, altbier is a deeper colour with more toasty malt character and slightly higher hop profile. These beers are exceptional with food and are also very easy to drink on their own.
