Arianna Occhipinti is a vigneron in Vittoria, Sicily who inherited her passion for the vine and wine at the young age of 16 when she attended VinItaly with her vigneron uncle of another iconic winery, COS. Though Arianna studied oenology at the University of Milan, she has taken a very hands off approach to grape growing and winemaking by following organic principles. She hand harvests only healthy grapes, relies on spontaneous fermentation and uses minimal sulfur.

Siccagno is made from 35 year old Nero d’Avola grapes grown at 280 meters above sea level on medium density red sand and chalk soils from sub apennine limestone rocks. Indigenous yeast fermentation It slightly wild but also fresh and elegant with red fruit aromas and flavours.
