Quail’s Gate Chenin Blanc (750ml)
Pale lemon in the glass, bright notes of citrus, apple, pear, quince and hay mingle together on the nose. The palate is dry with flavours of zesty citrus, and a characteristic stony minerality. This is a dry and complex Chenin Blanc with beautiful bright acidity, lovely mid-palate texture and a long, refreshing finish.
The Quail’s Gate Chenin Blanc has been served to numerous visiting Heads of State including President Obama, the future King and Queen of England, William and Kate, and the Japanese Royal Family. From its Loire Valley origins in France, to the Okanagan Valley, this vinifera grape has flourished on the Quail’s Gate estate for more than 20 years.
Sourced from Quails’ Gate Estate and Osoyoos vineyards, this Chenin Blanc includes a small percentage of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. After harvest, the Chenin Blanc grapes were whole bunch pressed and the free-run juice was cold fermented in 75% stainless steel tanks and 25% in neutral French oak barrels and a combination of new and old 500 liter puncheons.
