Located in Oslavia, near Gorizia, north eastern Italy in the region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia.  This is 12ha vineyard is planted on steep slopes.  The vines grow in soil composed of mainly of eocene epoch (very ancient!) marls, producing optimal conditions for viticulture. The estate has been run by Stanislao (Stanko) Radikon since 1980, together with his wife Suzana and son, Saša.  They have been making natural wines and orange wines long before it became trendy to do so.  

Tasting Notes

Bright golden orange in the glass with aromas of tea, bergamot, dried fruit and some herbaceous notes.  The palate is fresh with lovely textural grip light citrus, floral and almond flavours. 


The grapes are destemmed and put into oak vats where they macerate and begin a spontaneous fermentation without temperature.  The skins remain in contact with the must and the cap is manually punched down 3 – 4 times a day during fermentation. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation vats are filled and the wine stays in contact with the skins throughout December before being racked into oak casks of 25 to 35 hl capacity where it rests for about 36 months and may undergo additional racking.  During all these processes no type of chemical preservative is added to the wine.  The final wine is bottled without any filtration or clarification in bottles of 1 l and o,50 l. No sulfites or preservatives added at bottling.
