Robert Denogent is in a class of his own making wine in Southern Burgundy. The wines of Robert Denogent offer amazing value. They are often compared to their neighbors to the North, the great white wines of the Cote D’Or, for their richness and expressiveness.

Tasting Notes

This wine is made from 15 year old Chardonnay vines that grow on limestone soil in the appellation of Macon Fuisse, located very near the prestigious terroir of Pouilly-Fuissé, near the rock of Solutré. This terroir is known for producing dense and concentrated Chardonnays. The grapes are hand harvested, pressed gently and undergo a natural fermentation with wild yeasts. Malolactic fermentation ensues and the wine then rests for about two years in a range of different age barrels in order for the winemaker to craft a balanced and complex blend.
