Domaine Roblot Marchand is part of the new guard of Burgundian vignerons.  Frédéric Roblot in the Cote de Nuits appellation of Chambolle-Musigny’s comes from winemaking lineage dating back to 1910.  His family sold their wines to negociant houses, but Frédéric has decided to bottle his own under the Domaine name Roblot Marchand.  From his 8 hectares of land, he strives to produce wines that are enjoyable and accessible fairly early on, though one could certainly lay down a few bottles to experience the beauty of aged Burgundy too.

Tasting Notes

With the typical delicacy of Chambolle-Musigny, notes of strawberry and raspberry, damp earth and dried herbs.  Firm tannins and medium plus acidity, red fruit flavours as well as light gamey and tobacco notes.

The grapes for this silky and balanced village Pinot Noir come from a vineyard adjacent to the premier cru plot ‘Les Feusselottes’.
