Mamre Brook is one of the most famous places in the Barossa Valley. Saltram sources the fruit for this wine from the north-eastern side of the Barossa Valley and from the cooler sites in the higher altitudes of Eden Valley. Mamre Brook wines are characterised by their warmth and generosity with rich and mouth filling fruit.

Tasting Notes

The Shiraz fruit was selected from low yielding, mature vineyards in the Barossa. The grapes were crushed and de-stemmed before fermentation on skins took place in a variety of different fermenters. The wine was matured in a combination of used and new French and American oak barrels for twenty two months and individual vineyard parcels were kept separate throughout the winemaking process and blended just prior to bottling in order to achieve the desired balance.
