This wine is produced by Bodegas Alceno.  The winery was founded in 1870, and was the first commercial winery in Spain’s Jumilla region. The vines are planted at a height of 600 to 800 meters in rocky and chalky soils.  DO Jumilla is located on a high plain in the eastern region of Spain, acting as a transition zone between the Mediterranean coastal area and the high central plateau of Castile-La Mancha.

Tasting Notes

Pronounced blackberries on the nose with lots of spicy and bright black fruit flavour on the palate.  This wine is bold with smooth tannins and a lovely freshness throughout.

Fermented in stainless steel for a fruit focused and easy drinking style.
