The Tatamagouche Brewing Company (commonly referred to as “Tata”) is a family owned and operated craft brewery located in the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. In 2014, the family converted an old butcher shop into a brewery, and have since added several additions to the sides and back of the building to help accommodate their growth. Tata Brew is one of only a handful of Certified Organic breweries in Nova Scotia, and their beers have won awards provincially as well as nationally.
Tasting Notes
Infused with pink peppercorn and dried rose hips, notes of sweet red berries and peppery spice are present with some additional botanical, floral qualities. Bright, fruity, and layers upon layers of complexity with every sip.
Method
Belgian-style saison may have Brettanomyces or lactic character, and fruity, horsey, goaty and/or leather-like aromas and flavours. Specialty ingredients, including spices, may contribute a unique and signature character. Peppy is a Belgian-style saison infused with pink peppercorn and dried rose hips. Beginning with a classic Belgian yeast character before being “dry hopped” with pink peppercorn and rose hips, the result is a bright fruity saison.
