The Tatamagouche Brewing Company (commonly referred to as “Tata”) is a family owned and operated craft brewery located in the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. In 2014, the family converted an old butcher shop into a brewery, and have since added several additions to the sides and back of the building to help accommodate their growth. Tata Brew is one of only a handful of Certified Organic breweries in Nova Scotia, and their beers have won awards provincially as well as nationally.

Tasting Notes

This tempting Grisette is the easy(er) drinking cousin of the saison. This lower ABV and lighter style saison has refreshing aromas of honeysuckle, lychee and an earthy funk that brings out flavours of honey, mango and a drying finish. Above average carbonation also helps lighten the mouthfeel and keeps things fresh. Try Grisette with light food pairings, soft cheeses, or fish and shellfish.

3.3% abv

Grisette is an often overlooked and sometimes unknown style, but like it’s bigger sibling the Saison, it will win your heart and palate over easily. Brewed with a higher percentage of wheat for a silky smooth mouthfeel, and fermented with Belgian yeast strains that leave behind subtle fruit and pepper notes. Fermented dry to ensure a crisp, snappy finish and with ample carbonation. Skiff is a not only a great Grisette to try for the first time, but also a repeat fridge-staple.
