From the family owned operated microbrewery located in the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. In 2014, the family converted an old butcher shop into a brewery where they craft small batches of tasty beer.
Spring is a tart saison, at 6.6%, the appearance is of ripe mango with cream colored foam that is light and frothy that fades quickly. The aromatics include canned mandarins, citrus preserves with hints of horse and barnyard funkiness and light pepper. The flavour brings a tart mandarin syrupy that leaves you salivating for more. Additional flavours of lychee, wine like characteristics and funky barnyard and white pepper spice notes. This beer has a prickly sharp carbonation that enhances the tart quality and pushes the aroma right into your nose. The mouthfeel has a slight syrupy component that balances the prickly tartness. A light, pithy bitterness sticks around on the aftertaste. This beer has a balanced medium body that is sweet and bright, with a bright carbonation and lots of complexity.
