Tasting Notes

The Cherry Avenue estate vineyard was planted in 2005 and the grapes are producing wines of increasing depth and complexity. This is evident on the expressive nose of the 2012 Cherry Pinot Noir; ripe notes of black cherry, violet and a hint of graphite. On the palate, the fruit continues with lively notes of cranberry, pomegranate, and a touch of spice from 14 months in French oak. Pinot Noir is known for being an very food friendly wine and this one is particularly suited to richer dished because of its ripe fruity character and structure.
