Nestled in Blackford, Scotland, Tullibardine’s history dates as far back as the 1400s, where the buildings formerly housed a brewery – even serving beer to King James 4th of Scotland! Flash forward to 1947 when the brewery was converted into a distillery, producing its first drop of spirit in 1949. Despite the distillery changing hands a few times over the years since, Tullibardine’s reputation for the highest quality Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky hasn’t wavered.
The Marquess Collection, launched in 2016, is a nod to famous historical figures who bore the Marquess of Tullibardine title in Scotland for centuries, and the rich history of the Tullibardine region.
Tasting Notes
From the distillery: “The prestigious red wine casks enhance the characteristic Tullibardine style of vanilla, caramel and oaken notes with a rich and fruity complexity. Expect aromas of dark fruits like blackberries and plums marrying. On the palate a subtle spice permeates the fruity cocktail developing a satisfyingly rich dram, ending with a sweet raspberry note and a creamy finish.”
Method
Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024, this bottling is limited to just 15,720 bottles globally and bottled at 46% ABV.
