Longview LV Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Longview is a stunning family owned Australian vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of old-world estates but unmistakably Australian, it has quickly established itself as one of the most awarded vineyards since its 2001 inaugural vintage.

Perfectly manicured vines, towering gum trees, gently undulating hills and big blue skies make up the backdrop at the stunning Longview Vineyard. As well as lush foliage and landscaped gardens, the property features rural-chic architecture that knits together this quintessential Australian landscape.

Longview Estates falls within Adelaide Hill’s cool-climate sites. Most of the rainfall occurs during the winter months, while the summers are warm and dry and the vineyards are cooled by the winds coming off of Lake Alexandria to the east and the coast to the South. These are ideal conditions for the development of flavours, aromatics, depth and structure in wine grapes.

Two Hands Tenacity Shiraz

The “two hands” are Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz who formed the company in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz based wines from prized Shiraz producing regions within Australia. Quality without compromise is central to the Two Hands philosophy, driving all the decisions from fruit and oak selection to packaging and promotion. Two Hands’ first vintage was in 2000, after a modest $30k investment and starting with just 17 tonnes of fruit. The journey had started.

By the end of 2004 a state-of-the-art winery was built on the same site, specifically designed for small batch handling. To maximize the individual regional and varietal characteristics and to allow for greater quality control, every parcel of fruit, no matter how small, could be handled separately from crushing through to fermentation and oak maturation. The new winery revolutionized the winemaking capabilities and experimentation flourished, new varietals were tested, new techniques adopted, with a Cellar Door as a perfect outlet for some of the trials to test the market. As production increased, more varied sources of Shiraz from the Western Ranges in the Barossa were added to the mix and broadened the complexity and palate to choose from.

Bodegas Casajus NIC

José Alberto Casajús was born in Quintana del Pidio. This small town is located on the foothills of the north side of the Duero Valley that shapes the appellation of Ribera del Duero. He had the privilege of growing up in the bosom of a winemaking family.  For generations, both sides of his family, Calvo and Casajús, cultivated grapevines and made wine for personal consumption.  José Alberto’s enthusiasm and passion for everything that surrounds the world of wine eventually encouraged him to found Bodegas J. A. Calvo Casajús in 1993; a modern company, equipped with the most advanced techniques, but with a deep-rooted family spirit and that preserves the most genuine of the Ribera del Duero wines.  The bodega is literally a one-man operation with José Alberto Calvo Casajús also doubling as his village’s baker.

Romate Viva La Pepa Manzanilla

Romate is a family run house that has been producing fine Sherry (Jerez) since 1781. The key factors in crafting this wine style are the white Albariza soils, the Andalusian sun and the native grapes, Palomino, Airen and Pedro Ximenes. The production process for Sherry is a long and relatively complicated one with many steps in which Romate combines traditional and modern techniques in order to create a consistent quality product.

Lindemans - Cuvée René Oude Gueuze

Southwest of Brussels, in the quiet Belgian town of Vlezenbeek, the Lindemans family has been farming and homebrewing as long as anyone can remember. Commercial brewing started in 1822.

Lambic, or spontaneously fermented beers, are the beers of this region and are among the world’s rarest: they are the only beers fermented via wild, airborne yeast – no yeast is added by the brewers. Lambics come only from the Senne River valley, near Brussels – a region about 15 by 75 miles in size. The unusual, demanding, and unique flavors that come from multiple yeast strains are unmatched in the world of beer.
