Vincent Fleith Gewurztraminer Letzenberg

Dating as far back as 1661, this estate has been in the Fleith family for eleven generations. In 1973, René Fleith built a brand new estate which comprises approximately 10 ha, spread out over four terroirs in Alsace, France: the Steinweg, the Dorfburg, the Letzenberg and the Grand Cru Furstentum. Vincent Fleith took the reins of the estate in 1996, implementing biodynamic farming practices (Ecocert and Demeter certified) in 1999. Vincent is committed to Alsace, having only ever left to work in the wine industries of California, Australia, and Beaujolais.

All of their wines are aged on their lees for a minimum of 12 months and aged in bottling for at least 6 months prior to release. Producing both dry and sweet wines, Fleith’s range is everything you want for the region; Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and Cremant d’Alsace.

Chateau Brehat Cotes de Castillon

In 2010, Béatrice and Jérôme de Monteil decided it was time for a complete change of career and lifestyle, throwing themselves wholeheartedly into running Château Haut-Rocher. Owned by the family since the 15th century, the estate is located within the original boundaries of the Saint-Emilion wine region, in the village of Saint-Etienne de Lisse. With 13 ha of vines (8ha in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation area and 5ha in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux) the vines serve the labels Château Haut-Rocher and Château Bréhat, respectively.

With the goal of eventually achieving organic certification, Béatrice and Jérôme have enlisted the support of a team of technicians and consultant winemaker Thomas Duclos, after realising their ambitions; something they realized via their Saint-Emilion vineyards.

Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore

The late, great Giuseppe Quintarelli, succeeded in establishing his mythical and legendary estate during an amazing sixty-year career. Quintarelli’s wines express the tradition, love, heart, and soul of the terroir in the hills of Verona. Giuseppe’s daughter Fiorenza, his son-in-law Giampaolo, and his grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo are all keeping a close watch over the family’s legacy and to this day, Giuseppe Quintarelli remains one of the icons of Italy. The wines are released only when deemed ready, not a moment sooner.

The Quintarelli name is synonymous with traditional handcrafted wines that are very much a labour of love born of time, effort and patience.  Giuseppe, fondly known as “Bepi” to those closest to him, was a perfectionist in every way. From the beautiful handwritten labels, to the best possible quality cork, to the exquisite wine in the bottles, the Quintarelli name is a stamp of authenticity and the ultimate indication of an artisanal, handmade, uncompromising wine of the highest quality.

Tornatore Etna Rosso

A rising star in the Etna region, Tornatore is becoming one of the region’s biggest and most respected wineries. Their vineyards are located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level on the north side of this active volcano.

Out of a Sicilian family heritage that traces back to the 17th century, the Tornatore’s Mount Etna wine ventures began in 1865. Today the family’s operations are headed by Giuseppe Tornatore, a businessman whose expertise led to the acquisition of some of the region’s finest north-facing vineyards in the early 2000’s. That heritage and the Tornatore’s profound respect and understanding of the land is showcased in wines that capture the essence of Etna, deftly balancing concentrated flavors, complexity, freshness and refinement.

The company lies in the northern side of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. The soils have volcanic origin and were created through the disintegration of lava, ash and stones from previous volcanic eruptions. The climate on the northern side of the Etna is characterized by mild temperatures, and more rain fall reflecting the influence of the Volcano. The combination of soil, climate and the skill of the winemakers, have made the northern slope of Etna an ideal area for the production of high-quality wines. “Our vineyards and our winery are only a few kilometers from our family home. Our entire family is rooted there. We have the greatest respect for this region, and we believe we have a responsibility to be stewards of Etna and to reflect its distinct character in our wines.” – Giuseppe Tornatore

Gekkeikan Nigori Sake 300ml

Gekkeikan Nigori is a rough-filtered Junmai-shu. By definition Nigori means ‘cloudy’ and this style of sake is thicker and creamier in texture, with a milk-like appearance. The ‘cloudiness’ comes from the rice sediment which remains in the sake after it has been passed through a special coarse-mesh filter. Characteristically sweet with a creamy medium-body. Hints of honey and tropical fruit aromas and flavors terminate into a long finish.

Gekkeikan’s founder, Jiemon Okura established his sake brewery in the town of Fushimi, a location well-known for its high quality water. Access to the ideal ingredients combined with the location enabled Okura and his successors’ business to thrive. Today, Gekkeikan’s passion for pleasing the sake connoisseur remains unchanged. Dedicated just as the founder was over 370 years ago, both Gekkeikan Japan and Gekkeikan USA continue the tradition of taste and quality.
