Domaine Belle Crozes Hermitage Les Terres Blanches

Domaine Belle is a certified-organic estate with a storied history. In the 1600’s, vines were grown around the Chateau de Larnage and all the land and produce belonged to the Lord of Larnage and each villager had to give three days unpaid corvee labour; one for pruning, one for ploughing, and another for the grape harvest. In 1769, at a village assembly called by the new Lord, each family was granted a small parcel of land with vines for their personal use and from these feudal times, the family parcels gradually expanded until in the 1930s it consisted of several neighbouring plots whose grapes were made into wine and sold locally. Louis Belle (Philippe’s grandfather) took over the property and acquired additional parcels of land in the communes of Larnage and Tain l’Hermitage. When Louis handed the land on to his son Albert in the 1970s, their 4 ha of land was spread across two communes (Larnage and Tain).

Now managed by Albert’s son Philippe, the estate is committed to showcasing terroir and today, Domaine Belle covers 25 ha and stretches over six communes and three appleations; Larnage, Crozes-Hermitage, Tain l’Hermitage, Pont de l’Isère, Mercurol and Tournon, and Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph.

Alter Ego de Palmer

Château Palmer sits in the heart of the Margaux appellation, on 66 ha of gravelly soil and grassy rows overlooking the Gironde estuary. Classified as one of 14 Troisièmes Crus (Third Growths) in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification 1855, the estate is considered one of the best (and certainly most popular) Third Growths. Since 1988, Palmer has been producing their second label: Alter Ego de Palmer- the grapes are sourced from the same famed-terroir but different winemaking techniques are used as well as different proportion of grapes with the goal to produce an earlier-drinking wine. Approximately 40% of the estate’s production is dedicated to Alter Ego.

Domaine Tempier Bandol Rouge

The iconic Domaine Tempier has been an active family run farm since 1834 and was given to “Lulu” Tempier and Lucien Peyraud in 1936 as a gift from Lucien’s father. Thanks to Lucien’s dedication in helping revive the Mourvedre grape, Bandol is often cited as being a “grand cru of Provence”.  The terroir of Domaine Tempier is varied and complex.  The land is made up of a patchwork of geologically diverse plots spreading on over a 60 hectare area.  Domaine Tempier has always been respectful and faithful to mother nature. The entire farming process is aligned to the rhythm of the seasons and the lunar calendar; they are an organic and biodynamic wine estate.

Chateau Argadens Rouge

In 2002, Maison Sichel bought a property in Saint-André-du-Bois 60 km south of Bordeaux and renamed it Château Argadens in reference to the noble family which founded the estate in the thirteenth century.  A major investment programme was launched at Château Argadens to restructure the vineyard, increase plantation density, modernise the winery and build an ageing cellar. Efforts are going on to ensure that this work is carried out with the greatest precision and care, the objective being to allow the quality of the terroir to be expressed to the full.

Château Argadens produces one white and one red wine.  Château d’Argadens has earned a place among the best wines in its appellation of Bordeaux Supérieur.

Martini Fiero

They made an unlikely duo: a clever entrepreneur and a master herbalist. But when Alessandro Martini and Luigi Rossi took over the National Wine & Spirits Distillery in a small village near Turin, magic happened.  It was in 1863 that Martini’s enterprising spirit and Rossi’s creative genius were galvanised into a vermouth that has endured for more than 150 years: the inimitable Martini Rosso.  From the aromatic botanicals of the famous vermouth to the golden effervescence of the Asti wines, Martini’s influence has spanned continents and decades. Yet its essence will always be steadfastly rooted in the Piedmont region.  Martini is a true Italian icon and has become one of the most recognized and cosmopolitan Italian drink brands in the world.
