October 19: This week’s New & Back-In-Stock Products!

The wait is over! Here are the new products that have hit our shelves this week, plus the best sellers that are back in stock.

Available Products:

Amaro Meletti

The Meletti Family has been producing extraordinary hand crafted cordials for generations. Silvio Meletti started the company in 1870 when he endeavored to produce an anise-flavored liqueur that would rival or surpass the best products of Italy and France. In truth, this pursuit goes back even further as Silvio quit school to help his mother in the production of her homemade anise liqueur (a best seller in her small shop) in order to provide for his struggling family.

Silvio pored over Italian and French essays to develop the optimal methods of harvesting and extracting the flavours from various regional herbs, fruits, and flowers and these approaches are still used today by the Meletti family. Silvio’s extremely thorough dedication to his craft lives on in his notebooks as well as the many products still produced five generations later by the Meletti family according to his exacting standards and innovative methods.

Jinro Chamisul Classique Soju

Soju is a very popular spirit sold in Korea that is traditionally made by distilling rice and other cereal grains. However, since the 1960s to alleviate rice shortages, most soju has been produced by diluting high strength neutral alcohol from distilled sweet potatoes or tapioca.

Jinro is the top selling spirit company in the world after exploding in popularity with their “chamisul” brand of soju in the 1990s. Jinro soju is so popular that its name is synonymous with the product itself much like Kleenex brand is to tissue.

Wyborowa Vodka

Wyborowa Vodka (which means “choice vodka”) has been made since before the 19th century and remains a bestseller in its native Poland today. In 1873 it began to catch on throughout Europe and in 1927 it became the first vodka brand to gain an international trademark.

Though the Poznań distillery fell on hard economic times in the early 90s, the international acclaim of the brand led the French beverage company, Pernod Ricard, to purchase the brand and has grown its global market share significantly since.
