This wine is part of the Lightfoot and Wolfville Terroir Series that showcases small-lot wines that express the characteristics of the land from which they grow. This Riesling was handpicked from the certified organic Lightfoot Estate vineyard in Wolfville. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, a portion of the unfermented juice was added as 'sussreserve' to balance sweetness and complexity. It is 100% Riesling crafted in an off-dry style so the wine`s naturally high acidity is beautifully balanced by residual sugar in a 9% alcohol wine. Aromas and flavours of apricot, lime, Honeycrisp apple and clover abound. It is an ideal wine for Indian and Asian spiced dishes, duck, Burrata cheese and salty snacks. Only 140 cases produced.
