Blomidon NV Cuvée L’Acadie (750ml)

This is a tradional method sparklign wine made from Nova Scotia’s traditional white grape, L’Acadie Blanc.  Like the iconic wines of Champagne that strive to achieve consistency and a house style year after year via their non vintage bottlings, this is a non vintage dated wine.  The Cuvée L’Acadie Brut ‘Méthode Traditionnelle’ sparkling wine is a staple of Blomidon’s portfolio. 

Blended across multiple vintages, Blomidon’s Cuvée L’Acadie is selected from the estate’s oldest vines. Planted in 1986, the “Old Vines” L’Acadie Blanc vineyard has stood the test of time, through hurricanes, harsh winters, and with many stellar vintages in between.
The grapes were hand harvested in late September, with the perfect balance of aromatics and acidity. Gently whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel, the base wine is aged sur lie for 4 months. Using 20% of reserve wines, the final blend was bottled and spent over 28 months in tirage before being disgorged late fall 2024 with a dosage of about 6 g/L.
