Famille Fourel Grenache Gris Rose (750ml)

The Famille Fourel vineyards are located northeast of Montpellier, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cévennes mountains and planted on the southern foothills of the Pic Saint-Loup.  The AOP Pic Saint-Loup has a unique terroir; deep clay-limestone soils, rich in minerals, excellent natural drainage, ideal for vine growth and an ideal microclimate of hot days and cool nights that facilitates slow ripening and preserves aromas.  The local wind, the dry Tramontane, means that there is low disease pressure and naturally healthy grapes.

François Fourel has a well-rounded background in the wine world; he learned winemaking at his uncle’s estate and worked as a wine shop manager, wholesaler and Sales Director at Domaine Tariquet for 10 years followed by Managing Director of Chateau Puech-Haut.  François knows the land, the product, and the market, so it was only natural for him to start creating his own wines 15 years ago.
