The Tatamagouche Brewing Company (commonly referred to as “Tata”) is a family owned and operated craft brewery located in the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. In 2014, the family converted an old butcher shop into a brewery, and have since added several additions to the sides and back of the building to help accommodate their growth. In 2023 the brewery launched Nomad, a line of alcohol-free beer. Tata Brew have won awards provincially as well as nationally while they continue to grow their team and brand.
Tasting Notes
A passion project brewed by the women of Tatamagouche Brewing Co. for its second year in a row and in celebration of International Women’s Day Saturday, March 8th.
Honouring the name and the women of Tata Brew, Yolande India Session Ale is brewed with one of the Yakima Chief x Pink Boots Society annual hop blends. These hops lend bright notes of mango, passionfruit and citrus which are complemented by smooth malts from the Country Malt Pink Boots malt, resulting in a light and crisp IPA structure. Available in its new limited edition art can.
Method
Session IPAs are hop-forward ales that are similar to pale ales and IPAs in terms of hop aroma and flavour, but are made to a lower degree of alcohol, usually between 3%-5% abv. The style takes inspiration from the great low ABV beers of England, but often are brewed with American or Southern Hemisphere hops.
