Bodegas Langa is family owned and operated and is the only bodega in Calatayud, in the province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. All of their grapes are grown in either of their two estate vineyards, which are located in different parts of the region with distinctively different microclimates. No herbicides, pesticides, or chemicals of any kind are used in the vineyards. All of their wines and cavas are produced organically with the European certification. The bodega is now working to obtain the U.S. organic certification.
Tasting Notes
A subtle and fresh nose of stone fruit, biscuits and wet stone. The palate is dry with a pleasing level of bubbles, peach, pear, citrus, fresh bread and minerality with a persistent intensity and a crisp and clean finish. Pop the cork for a celebration or simply enjoy this before dinner with Mediterranean inspired tapas, pour a glass at brunch or enjoy with a bowl of salty chips.
Method
A blend of 70% Xarello and 30% Chardonnay made in the traditional method for sparkling wine.
