Bourbon
Produced in the USA and internationally renowned. Under federal law, at least 51% of the grains used in production must be corn, while the remainder is made up of rye, malted barley and occasionally wheat. Bourbon cannot be distilled to a strength higher that 80% ABV and must be matured in new, charred oak barrels. Bourbon can be made anywhere in the USA, although nearly all of the producers are in Kentucky. No flavourings, colouring or additives may be added to the product. It is pure spirit.
