Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars is owned and operated by the Mavety family in the South Okanagan. They produce a range of terroir driven still and sparkling wines using only their estate grown grapes. Blue Mountain’s strong focus on viticulture across the site and the potential for each variety allows for an increased representation of individual terroir when the grapes reach the winery. A deliberate refinement of the winemaking process has allowed Blue Mountain to more clearly capture the identity of each of the vineyard blocks.
Tasting Notes
This wine is all about fresh bright aromas and flavours. Boxwood, chamomile, melon and white peach with mineral notes. The palate is medium bodied, lemon curd and peach flavours leads into a long concentrated finish. The structure of the wine will allow it to age beautifully for 3-5 years. Enjoy with as an aperitif with fresh greens and summer salads, spring rolls, shrimp cocktail and delicate fish dishes.
Method
Made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Okanagan Falls subregion in Okanagan Valley. Fermented in stainless steel.
